Attorney Profiles

John ("Jay") Reid received his A.B. in Politics from Rollins College cum laude in 1991. He then graduated cum laude from Stetson University College of Law in 1993. Following law school, he associated with the firm of McLin, Burnsed, Morrison, Johnson, Newman & Roy, PA. where he practiced in the areas of commercial litigation and insurance defense before joining our team in 1998. Mr. Reid is a member of the Florida and Orange County Bar Associations and has been admitted to practice in the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida.

Mr. Reid practices in the area of product liability, premises liability and general liability defense litigation for clients such as Ford Motor Company and Walt Disney World Co., including jury trial representation resulting in defense verdicts for several national corporate clients.  He is also a member of the Tort and Insurance Practice Section of the American Bar Association (TIPS), Defense Research Institute (DRI) and is Vice Chair of the Editorial Board for The Florida Bar News and The Florida Bar Journal.
